Education
CHASE is working collaboratively with CHAC. This school year we are happy to report that a middle school program focusing on drug awareness and risky behavior will be offered in select schools. Additionally, a 12-week, parent/child program will be offered independently from the schools. Teens have asked for forums where they can gather and talk to each other about drugs and alcohol. To address this request, CHASE is collaborating with Dr. Michael Kelly and the first ever all-teen AA meetings will begin this year. Borrowing from the Los Gatos program a "cops and kids" communication forum is also being considered.

Sober Events
"Sober Events" will be ongoing throughout the year. All events will be free. The teens have asked for one event per month. A mixture of 'big ticket" and "small ticket" events will be calendared. Examples of big ticket events are rock concerts, overnight trips to Tahoe and all-day outings to Santa Cruz. Examples of small ticket events are midnight ultimate frisbee, open mic night and a dodgeball tournament. The Underground- with the aid of the Los Altos Recreation Department's Tamara Oskoui, local teens now are working on refurbishing their own safe haven to gather and socialize instead of pursuing risky behaviors at undisclosed locations. The Underground will feature events, and a common place to gather for socializing, video games, games, etc. The Underground now features a CHASEspace.

Recaps
